Empowering Visa Applicants

The U.S. immigration system has special visa categories for top foreign talent (EB1A, EB2 NIW, O1, etc.), for individuals of extraordinary ability or work of national interest. But being talented isn’t all. To be eligible, one must show public recognition, influence and impact – typically validated through credible media coverage.

EB1A – For the Exceptional Achievers

The EB1A visa is a pathway to green card through showcasing extraordinary abilities in respective professional domain. This category is specifically made for professionals who have reached the highest point in their careers, whether that be in science, business, technology, arts or sports. This category is different from many other U.S. immigration routes as it doesn’t involve a job offer or employer sponsorship. Applicants must submit ”substantial evidence that they are among the small percentage of individuals who have risen to the very top of their field of endeavour,” including evidence of national or international recognition.

EB2 NIW – Serving the National Interest

The EB2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) is a visa for non-exceptional aliens with advance degrees or exceptional ability who can prove that the benefits of their work will benefit the United States. What makes this visa special is its exemption from typical labor certification and employer sponsorship requirements as long as you can prove that your contributions are in the national interest and are significant.

O1 Visa – Temporary Entry for Extraordinary Talent

The O1 visa is for foreign nationals of extraordinary ability who are seeking to enter the U.S. to work in their area of skill. Loved by artists, scientist, entrepreneurs, actors, musicians and startup founders. USCIS anticipates that they will authenticate that the applicant has generated significant media coverage in the mainstream and trade press, and evidence of public interest.
